Reflection on LA#7 - MicroWorld Video Game

My video game is uploaded and I'm happily surprised that it wasn't as difficult as I envisioned. The tutorials were very helpful, as previously noted, and the ability to work as a group with Dan, Greg, Kathleen and Anne were extremely beneficial. Kathleen mentioned the component of this LA that I had completely forgotten - that young children are doing this with little difficulty. This is truly amazing to me.

Question - is this a right or left brain task? I think it’s both but . . . I'm not confident that I'm correct.

Self reflection: The fact that I could design, even the most simplistic, video game was beyond my comprehension over eight weeks  ago. Learning is effortless, social and involves a time commitment.  Without question, the process is more valuable than the end product with projects like LA #7. I'm finding that I'm implementing this with students and the results on projects I'm getting are better than I would have required.

What learning theories did I utilize during this LA? I feel this was an example of informal and social constructivist learning theories. I was able to build on my basic computer skills, work with others, and learned to collaborate effectively and efficiently.
